Dear ,
In this season of giving and giving thanks, thank
you for all you do to save the places we care about.
You have been working hard, giving generously of
your time, your energy, and your support to bring about a change in the way Americans
have been treating our land. I appreciate this.
And I appreciate your faith in the Land Trust Alliance.
Together, we are making real progress on our shared
goals. We’re increasing the pace, strengthening
the quality, and ensuring the permanence of land conservation
in communities all across this amazing country.
That means we’re saving more farms and ranches, forests, and streams.
We’re making a positive impact on the things we value most: fresh
food and clean water…our family’s health and happiness…our
communities’ authenticity and opportunity.
Land trusts and the Land Trust Alliance accomplished important milestones
in 2008, and in spite of an uncertain economy, I have great optimism that 2009
will be a terrific year for land conservation.
Join me for a walk on the 2008-2009 Land Conservation Trail to see how far we’ve journeyed
and what’s just around the bend.
As we near this year’s end and consider the promise that lies in
the 365 days to come, thank you once again for sharing in the hope that together
we can save the most wonderful places in America. Happy Holidays.
Warmest regards,

Rand Wentworth
President
